TRAINING IN PLASTIC COSMETIC SURGERY
Dr. George's interest and introduction to PLASTIC COSMETIC SURGERY was inevitable! Born with artistic talents and having produced some exquisite paintings to his credit even during his student days,   his interest in COSMETIC SURGERY was but natural.

Cosmetic Plastic Surgery as a speciality was in its infancy in the sixties and Dr. George  was fortunate to have gained opportunity to study  under the famous, pioneering Japanese plastic surgeon, Mr Siechi Ohmori of the Tokyo Metropolitan Hospital.

While in Japan, Dr. George also had the opportunity to be associated with  the famous cosmetic surgery hospital in Tokyo,  JUJIN HOSPITAL, which was already popular not only with the Asians but also  the Westerners. 

FIRST PRIVATE COSMETIC SURGERY PRACTICE
Dr. George was one of the first to start a  private cosmetic surgery practice as early as in 1967 known as GEORGE PLASTIC COSMETIC SURGERY in Malaysia's capital, KUALA LUMPUR.

KEEPING ABREAST WITH ADVANCEMENTS
Dr. George, continuously found avenues to keep abreast with the fast developing field of COSMETIC PLASTIC SURGERY both in the EAST AND WEST. He regularly attended the newly introduced  COSMETIC SURGERY CONFERENCES IN JAPAN AND PARIS.  There he picked up new techniques that were being invented and introduced by innovative and brave surgeons of   Asia, Europe and Latin America. Dr. George developed good rapport and friendship with many foreign colleagues. Most  famous among them were  Dr. Fournier of France and Dr. Pitangauy of Brazil, who were acknowledged as 'the father of Plastic cosmetic surgery'  of their respective countries. (See photos).

INTRODUCING NEW AND INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES
Dr. George was probably the very first cosmetic surgeon to bring to Malaysia the then newly introduced  LIPOSUCTION TECHNIQUES and equipments and instruments.  Having practised cosmetic surgery for more than 30 years and having made many thousands of women and men more beautiful and happy, it is no wonder that a very large percentage of  his present clients are their relatives and friends! Even mothers bring their daughters and grand daughters!

FATHER AND SON TEAM
It was fortunate for Dr. George that his eldest son  took interest in following the footsteps of his father! He sent him to the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin,Ireland for his basic medical degree. DR. BENJAMIN GEORGE JR pursued  his studies in U.K and took his fellowship in surgery from  the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, Scotland. He continued his studies in  England and  specialised in PLASTIC SURGERY, and came back to Malaysia after 17 long years as a fully qualified and trained plastic surgeon! He  worked in the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital Plastic Surgery department for over 3 years  before joining his father's practice, as Consultant Plastic  & Cosmetic Surgeon, George Plastic Cosmetic Surgery, Kuala Lumpur in 1996.
